Housing is a cornerstone of economic stability. Liz supports policies that expand affordable housing options for our workforce and seniors. She believes in working with responsible developers to ensure housing investments meet the real needs of our communities. From city planning to rural development, Liz will fight for smarter allocation of state resources that improve housing availability for the workforce, and assist with aging in place initiatives to keep our communities rooted and resilient.

As your Delegate, Liz will support:

• Exploring options for housing allowances or tax credits for individuals working in high-need industries in housing-scarce areas. 

•  Increasing support for affordable housing development.

• Encouraging mixed-income housing developments.

Growing up on the Eastern Shore and returning as an adult,Liz has experienced firsthand the challenges of finding safe and affordable housing. From Virginia Beach to the Shore, long-term rentals and entry-level homes are scarce, forcing many families and young professionals to leave the area entirely. Liz understands how the housing shortage impacts workforce stability, economic growth, and the vibrancy of our communities.
