Healthcare & Reproductive Freedom
Access to quality healthcare should not depend on where you live. Liz supports strengthening Medicaid and affordable health insurance options in Virginia to protect rural hospitals, community clinics, and elder care from devastating Federal cuts. Liz is committed to defending reproductive freedom. She will fight to keep Virginia a place where personal health decisions remain between individuals and their doctors, not politicians.
As your Delegate, Liz will support:
Reducing the cost of prescription drugs by supporting state programs that cap prices and increasing transparency.
Strengthening rural healthcare by assuring funding for hospitals, clinics, and incentivizing doctors and nurses to serve rural areas.
Expanding mental health care access, including crisis response services and school-based programs.
Investing in addiction recovery programs to address the opioid crisis.
Expanding telehealth programs so patients can see specialists without leaving their communities. This also necessitates investments in rural broadband.
Protecting reproductive freedom, keeping healthcare decisions between patients and doctors.
Liz has firsthand experience working in the medical field and walking alongside families as they navigate the complexities of our healthcare system. She worked as a CNA in a dementia and hospice care unit in SWVA and went through chaplaincy training in a level one trauma hospital during the pandemic. Liz also helped with Covid testing events with the Eastern Shore Medical Reserve Corps and National Guard while on the Shore back in 2020 at the start of divinity school.”
