Every child in Virginia deserves a strong start and a path to opportunity, no matter their zip code. As federal funding shrinks, the Commonwealth must step up to fill the gap and invest in our children.  Liz will champion fully funded public education, ensuring that teachers and students have the resources they need to succeed.

Liz supports:

• Raising teacher pay to ensure schools can recruit and retain quality educators.

• Ensuring full funding for special education services so that students with disabilities are supported regardless of federal shortfalls

• Expanding career and technical education programs

• Increasing mental health support staff in schools to address the student mental health crisis

• Expanding before and after school care to support working families

• Supporting programs and curricula development that equip the next generation with the skills needed to thrive in a changing economic landscape.
